Underwater is a very particular photography field that not many of us had the chance to experience but many of us wonder how it’s done, and what it’s like to do it. Elena Kalis is an underwater photographer which work is now famous around the world, especially with her series “The Bahamas Girl”.
Based in the Bahamas, that helps, Elena developed her own unique style within a few years. She has always been an artist, she started photography 7 years ago, as a new way of expressing herself.
Katharina Jung is part of this new generation of young female photographers who open up new perspectives in the photography field. Her work and talent has been discovered and rewarded this month on Flickr with a very prestigious prize for young photographers: 20under20. It’s always a great accomplishment to receive such a distinction. iLHP got the chance to sit down with her to talk about her, and her art!
ILHP: Hi Katharina, I’m very glad to meet you and ask you some questions. So tell us about you. How long have you been into photography?
Katharina: Hi, thank you for your invite! I started my photography in February 2013 and fallen totally in love with it.
